The air is cold enough to hurt my lungs, and the wind blows my hair in my face. The sound of a lonely train is barely audible, something I’ve heard my whole life, tuned out. The sky is black. Black enough to swallow all hope whole. And all the stars are visible. Thus is my favorite night sky.
